About re:collection and why I decided to start this project
[re:collection]
The foundation of my idea for re:collection is the small prefix re:. I’s a simple prefix that opens the door to something more. While re: originally means "in the matter of" or "concerning", today we know it best from an email subject line—you might have used it yourself before. But in the context of re:collection, it’s something more: a dialogue between the moment I captured and the meaning you find in it. The re:collection is about taking a moment to pause, reflect, and turn something short-lived into something lasting.
re: can been seen as the beginning of something, whether it’s re:living a memory, re:thinking how we connect with art, or re:discovering the beauty of the tangible.
I invite you to explore re:collection and find pieces that speak to you—ones to re:visit, re:interpret, and re:claim as part of your story.
[re:valentin]
Valentin is a designer and creative mind with a deep appreciation for storytelling. He expresses himself through various mediums, while photography is where he feels most passionate about. His work captures the essence of the destinations he visits and the fleeting moments that define them, uncovering the soul of a place and the people who call it home. For Valentin, every captured moment tells a story—and that’s what he loves most about photography.
